Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems, where specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and screened for optimal candidates.

This antibody is specific for Human IL-32.

Target Information

Interleukin-32 (IL-32) was initially identified as a transcript (NK4) expressed in lymphocytes and NK cells, with expression increased following IL-2 activation. It was later re-isolated from an IL-18-treated lung carcinoma cell line and renamed IL-32.
IL-32 is unique in that it shares no sequence homology with known cytokine families and exists in multiple spliced isoforms. It is highly expressed in immune tissues and induces proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-8, and MIP-2.
IL-32 expression is also induced in human peripheral lymphocytes after mitogen stimulation and in epithelial cells by IFN-γ, suggesting its role in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
