This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

SIGIRR (single Ig IL-1R-related molecule) is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor (IL-1R) superfamily. Although it contains conserved motifs typical of the IL-1R and Toll superfamily, it is structurally and functionally distinct.

• Has only one Ig domain in its extracellular portion (IL-1R family typically has three)
• Contains a long cytoplasmic domain reminiscent of Drosophila Toll
• Closely related to IL-1RI in sequence
• A SIGIRR–IL-1R chimera did not activate NFκB, unlike other IL-1R-related molecules
• Phylogenetic data suggest SIGIRR is a close functional relative of MyD88 in mammals
