Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The diazepam binding inhibitor (DBI) is a hormone-regulated protein involved in lipid metabolism and the displacement of beta-carbolines and benzodiazepines that modulate signal transduction at type A GABA receptors in brain synapses.
It is conserved from yeast to mammals, with a highly conserved hydrophobic binding domain for medium- and long-chain acyl-CoA esters.
DBI also mediates feedback regulation of pancreatic secretion and postprandial cholecystokinin release, and participates in corticotropin-dependent adrenal steroidogenesis.
Three pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 6, 8, and 16. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms exist.
