Product Specific Information

The L17F12 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD5, a 67 kDa protein expressed by most thymocytes, mature T cells, and a subset of B cells. CD5 signaling activates T cells and mediates T-B cell interactions via CD72 binding.

Super Bright 436 is excited by a violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Use a 450/50 bandpass filter or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

CD5 is a 67 kDa human T-lymphocyte transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on mature T cells, thymocytes, and certain B cells. It regulates T-cell proliferation and is associated with various T-cell leukemias and lymphomas. CD5 dysfunction is linked to thymus cancer and Richter’s Syndrome.
