Target Information
CD3G (CD3-gamma polypeptide) forms part of the T-cell receptor-CD3 complex along with CD3-epsilon, -delta, and -zeta chains, and T-cell receptor alpha/beta or gamma/delta heterodimers. This complex is crucial for coupling antigen recognition to intracellular signal transduction pathways. The CD3G, CD3E, and CD3D genes are clustered on chromosome 11. Mutations in CD3G can lead to T-cell immunodeficiency.
