Target Information
MT-ATP6 유전자는 정상적인 미토콘드리아 기능에 필수적인 단백질을 생성합니다. 미토콘드리아는 세포 내에서 산화적 인산화를 통해 ATP를 생성하는 기관으로, 산소와 단순 당을 이용해 세포의 주요 에너지 원인 ATP를 만듭니다.
MT-ATP6 단백질은 ATP synthase 복합체(V)의 일부를 구성하며, 양전하를 띤 양성자(proton)가 미토콘드리아 내막을 통과하도록 하는 역할을 합니다. 이 에너지 흐름을 이용해 ADP를 ATP로 전환하는 최종 단계가 수행됩니다.
