Target Information
CAMK1 (CaMK1) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase family. It plays roles in cell differentiation, nervous system development, and signal transduction. CAMK1 is expressed in various tissues and functions as part of a calmodulin-dependent protein kinase cascade. Calcium/calmodulin directly activates CaMK1 by binding to the enzyme and indirectly promotes phosphorylation and synergistic activation through CaMK1 kinase.
