This antibody detects endogenous levels of EPHA2 only when phosphorylated at Tyr772.
Target Information
EPHA2 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors are implicated in developmental events, particularly in the nervous system. EPHA2 is overexpressed in many human cancers. Tyrosine kinase (TK) proteins regulate key cellular processes such as differentiation, adhesion, motility, and apoptosis. Approximately 90 TK genes have been sequenced, including 58 receptor TKs (e.g., EGFR, EPH, FGFR, PDGFR, TRK, VEGFR families) and 32 cytosolic TKs (e.g., ABL, FAK, JAK, SRC families).
