Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) are structurally diverse proteins that bind to the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A (PKA) and localize the holoenzyme within the cell.
The AKAP12 gene encodes a member of this family, expressed in endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and osteosarcoma cells.
It associates with protein kinases A and C, and phosphatases, serving as a scaffold in signal transduction.
AKAP12 and RII PKA colocalize at the cell periphery and are involved in cell growth regulation.
Antibodies to AKAP12 can be produced by patients with myasthenia gravis.
Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
