Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
TACC1 is located on the 8p11 chromosomal region, amplified in ~15% of breast tumor samples. The short arm of chromosome 8 also contains FGFR1, whose expression is enhanced in most breast cancer tumors.
TACC family members (TACC1, TACC2, TACC3) map closely to FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 genes on chromosomes 4, 8, and 10. These genes are phylogenetically related and proposed to have similar roles in cell growth and differentiation.
TACC1 contains a conserved C-terminal region like its Drosophila homolog D-TACC, which is necessary for normal spindle function. Mammalian TACC proteins similarly interact with centrosomes and microtubules.
