Factor B는 보체의 대체 경로(alternative complement pathway)의 구성 요소입니다. 이 단백질은 93 kDa의 단일 사슬 폴리펩타이드로, Factor D에 의해 30 kDa의 Ba와 63 kDa의 Bb로 절단됩니다. Bb는 C3b와 함께 대체 경로의 C3 전환효소(C3 convertase, C3bBb)를 형성합니다.
