Target Information
LPL은 심장, 근육, 지방 조직에서 발현되는 lipoprotein lipase를 암호화합니다. LPL은 homodimer 형태로 존재하며, triglyceride hydrolase 및 receptor-mediated lipoprotein uptake의 ligand/bridging factor로 기능합니다. LPL 결핍을 유발하는 심각한 돌연변이는 type I hyperlipoproteinemia를 초래하며, 덜 심한 변이는 다양한 지질 대사 이상과 관련이 있습니다.
