Target Information
E-Cadherin (epithelial cadherin)은 칼슘 의존적 세포 간 접착 단백질로, cadherin 슈퍼패밀리에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 다섯 개의 세포외 cadherin 반복 영역, 막관통 영역, 그리고 보존된 세포질 말단부로 구성되어 있습니다.
CDH1 유전자는 인간 16번 염색체에 위치하며, 그 변이는 위암, 유방암, 대장암, 갑상선암, 난소암 등과 관련이 있습니다.
E-Cadherin의 기능 상실은 세포 증식, 침윤, 전이를 촉진하여 암 진행에 기여할 수 있습니다. 또한, 세포 성장과 조직 구조 유지에 핵심적인 역할을 하며, 세포 간 결합을 통해 조직의 무결성을 유지합니다.
