IL-3Ra (Interleukin-3 receptor subunit alpha) belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family and forms a heterodimer with the common beta (CDw131) subunit.
IL-3Ra mediates Interleukin-3 signal transmission, and its heterodimerization with IL-3Rb is required for receptor activation.
IL-3Ra is reported to be overexpressed in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) blasts compared to normal hematopoietic cells, making it a potential target for novel therapeutic agents.
