Product Specific Information

The eBio1D3 (1D3) monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by B cells throughout development except plasma cells. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II that associates with the BCR, mediating B cell activation and proliferation.

Each product includes:

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Mouse splenocytes (≤ 0.2 µg/test in 100 µL volume)

Note: NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes such as propidium iodide, 7-AAD, and DAPI. Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) is required for optimal staining performance. Add 5 µL per sample for antibody cocktails or single-color controls.

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, providing engineered fluorescent signatures optimized for minimal spillover and high sensitivity.

Internal testing indicates strain-dependent non-specific staining in SJL mice, not observed in BALB/c or C57BL/6 mice.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed on all peripheral B cells. It acts as a co-receptor with the BCR, regulating B cell activation and proliferation. CD19 expression is also observed in certain leukemia phenotypes. Mutations in CD19 cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
