Target Information
EED (Embryonic Ectoderm Development) protein, also known as WAIT-1 or WD protein associated with integrin cytoplasmic tails-1, is a member of the WD-40 repeat protein superfamily and the polycomb group (PcG) family. PcG proteins form multimeric complexes that modify histones, leading to stable transcriptional repression. EED shuttles between the nucleus and plasma membrane and interacts with the cytoplasmic tail of integrin Beta-7 subunit. It exhibits antiviral activity at the late stage of HIV-1 replication.
