The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, and the purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes belong to two distinct subclasses: one utilizing NAD(+) and the other NADP(+) as electron acceptors.
Five isocitrate dehydrogenases have been identified: three NAD(+)-dependent (mitochondrial matrix-localized) and two NADP(+)-dependent (one mitochondrial, one cytosolic).
NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyze the allosterically regulated, rate-limiting step of the tricarboxylic acid cycle. Each isozyme is a heterotetramer composed of two alpha, one beta, and one gamma subunit.
The IDH3B gene encodes the beta subunit of the NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase isozyme, with three alternatively spliced transcript variants producing different isoforms.
