Target Information
MMP(matrix metalloproteinase)는 결합조직 성분을 분해할 수 있는 단백질분해 효소로, 공통적인 활성화 방식과 금속 결합 활성 부위 서열을 공유하며 TIMP에 의해 억제됩니다.
MMP2는 631개의 아미노산으로 구성된 전구 효소 형태로 합성되며, 활성화 시 처음 80개의 아미노산이 절단되어 propeptide, catalytic, hemopexin 도메인을 포함하는 구조를 형성합니다.
MMPs는 세포외기질의 모든 구성 요소를 분해할 수 있으며, 조직 재형성에 관여합니다.
