Target Information
Anti-human Polynucleotide Kinase (PNK) antibody recognizes a 57 kDa nuclear enzyme involved in DNA strand repair during replication, recombination, or in response to DNA damage.
PNK modifies DNA 5′-hydroxy and 3′-phosphate termini through phosphorylation and dephosphorylation, facilitating actions of DNA polymerase-β and DNA ligase III.
This enzyme plays a key role in maintaining genomic stability in human cells.
