This antibody detects endogenous proteins at molecular weights of approximately 135 kDa and 105 kDa.
Purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
TAF II p105 (also known as TAF4B) is a cell type–specific transcriptional co-activator and a component of the TFIID complex. It is expressed mainly in B cells and ovarian granulosa cells, where it interacts with OCBA/POU2AF1 to activate B cell–specific octamer-dependent transcription.
TAF II p105 also co-activates NFκB and is essential for the activation of anti-apoptotic genes such as TNFAIP3.
TAF II p135 (also known as TAF4, TAF2C, TAF2C1, TAF4A, or TAFII130) is a 1,085-amino-acid subunit of TFIID that enhances transcriptional activation triggered by thyroid hormone (TR) or retinoic acid (RA). It localizes to the nucleus and contains one TAFH domain, binding to proteins with glutamine-rich domains such as CREB.
