Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

MUC1 (Mucin 1, Episialin, MAM-6, CA 15-3, PEM, EMA)는 대부분의 분비성 상피세포와 일부 조혈 세포 계통에서 발현되는 대형 세포 표면 점액당단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 막관통형 글라이코프로틴으로, 다수의 O-결합 당사슬을 가지며, 당화 및 절단 과정을 통해 다양한 형태로 성숙합니다.
MUC1은 고도로 다형성을 가지며, 반복 서열의 수(30~90)에 따라 분자량이 크게 달라집니다.
90% 이상의 유방암 및 전이 조직에서 과발현되며, EGFR을 포함한 여러 수용체와 상호작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
MUC1 유전자는 7개의 엑손을 포함하며, 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변형체를 생성합니다.
과발현, 비정상적인 세포 내 위치 변화, 당화 패턴의 변화는 암 발생과 관련이 있습니다.
