Target Information
Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF)는 IL-6 수용체 계열에 속하는 20 kDa 단백질로, LIFR(gp190)과 gp130으로 구성된 이형이량체 수용체에 결합합니다. LIF는 흉선, 폐, 신경조직 등 다양한 조직에서 발현되며, TNFα 및 IL-17과 같은 염증성 사이토카인에 의해 발현이 증가할 수 있습니다.
류머티즘 관절염, 신경 손상, 전신 염증, 결핵 등에서 LIF의 발현 증가가 보고되었습니다.
LIF는 다양한 생물학적 기능을 가지며, 특히 생쥐 배아줄기세포의 분화를 억제하고 자기 재생을 유지하는 역할로 잘 알려져 있습니다.
Human과 Mouse LIF는 79%의 서열 상동성을 가지며, 종 간 활성을 나타내지만 줄기세포 분화 억제 기능은 Mouse에 특이적입니다.
