This antibody detects endogenous levels of BLNK only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 96.
Target Information
B cell linker protein (BLNK) is a protein encoded by the BLNK gene located on chromosome 10 in humans. Also known as SLP-65 (Src homology 2 domain-containing leukocyte protein of 65 kDa), BLNK functions as an adaptor protein in the B cell receptor signaling cascade. Studies have shown that the absence of BLNK leads to improper B cell development. BLNK undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation by Syk, a B cell receptor-activated kinase, providing a platform for interaction with signaling intermediaries such as Vav GEF and Grb2.
