Target Information
MCM2 (Mini Chromosome Maintenance Protein 2) is involved in regulating DNA replication. Also known as CDCL1, mitotin, and BM28, it is a human nuclear protein crucial for the cell cycle, particularly at the onset of DNA replication and cell division. MCM2 is mapped to chromosome 3q21 and has been identified as a candidate oncogene affected by chromosomal breaks in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
