OPRD1 (delta-Opioid Receptor)는 불안, 우울, 통증 조절에 관여하는 오피오이드 수용체입니다. 기분 장애 및 약물 중독 치료의 유망한 표적이며, 델타 및 카파 오피오이드 수용체는 이합체를 형성하여 상호 작용합니다. OPRD1은 주로 뇌에서 발현되며, 대뇌피질, 꼬리핵, 해마, 측좌핵, 피각에서 높은 발현이 보고되었습니다. 소뇌, 시상하부, 흑질, 시상에서는 낮은 발현이 관찰됩니다. 알츠하이머병 환자의 편도체 및 피각, 파킨슨병 환자의 피각에서 OPRD1 발현이 감소된 것으로 보고되었습니다.
