CDC42SE2는 CDC42 하류에서 작용하여 액틴 세포골격의 조직화에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다. 액틴 필라멘트 조립을 유도하며, CDC42에 의해 유도되는 세포 형태 변화를 변화시킬 수 있습니다. 활성화된 T세포에서는 면역 시냅스에서 CDC42 매개 F-actin 축적에 관여할 수 있으며, 대식세포의 식세포 작용 초기 수축 과정에도 역할을 할 가능성이 있습니다.
