For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein (~65–67 kDa) comprising about half of the blood serum protein. Human serum albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein in human plasma, with a serum half-life of ~20 days.
It functions as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and helps stabilize extracellular fluid volume.
Albumin is synthesized in the liver as pre-pro-albumin, which undergoes cleavage before secretion.
It binds water, Ca²⁺, Na⁺, K⁺, fatty acids, hormones, bilirubin, and drugs, playing a key role in regulating colloidal osmotic pressure in blood.
