The C398.4A monoclonal antibody reacts with ICOS (Inducible Costimulatory molecule), also known as H4/CRP-1/AILIM, and cross-reacts with mouse and rat ICOS.
ICOS is a T cell-specific activation molecule, a member of the CD28/CTLA-4 family, expressed on activated T cells. It plays a critical role in T cell activation, proliferation, and humoral immune response.

C398.4A:

• Displays strong costimulation of proliferation in T cell clones.
• Intermediate costimulation on activated T cells.
• Weak costimulation on resting T cells.
• Enhances IL-10 production from pre-activated cells expressing high ICOS levels.
• Recognizes an epitope distinct from ICOSL binding site (does not block ICOSL binding).

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on Con A-stimulated mouse splenocytes at ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
Recommended to titrate for optimal assay performance.
