Target Information
This intronless gene belongs to the frizzled gene family. Members encode seven-transmembrane domain proteins that act as receptors for the Wnt (wingless-type MMTV integration site) family of signaling proteins. FZD2 is coupled to the beta-catenin canonical signaling pathway. Competition between Wnt3A and Wnt5A for binding to FZD2 regulates both beta-catenin-dependent and -independent pathways.
