PDGFRA (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Receptor Alpha)는 세포 표면에 존재하는 티로신 키나아제 수용체로, 혈소판 유래 성장인자(platelet-derived growth factor) 계열의 리간드와 결합합니다. 이 성장인자들은 중간엽 기원의 세포에 대한 유사분열 촉진 인자로 작용합니다. 수용체 단량체에 결합하는 성장인자의 종류에 따라, 기능적 수용체는 α 또는 β 폴리펩타이드로 구성된 호모다이머 또는 헤테로다이머 형태를 가집니다. PDGFRA 유전자 결손 마우스 연구에서, 이 수용체의 α형은 신장 발달에 특히 중요하며, 이형접합 개체에서 신장 이상이 관찰됩니다.
