Target Information
Muscarinic cholinergic receptors are G protein-coupled receptors responsible for diverse cellular responses such as adenylate cyclase inhibition, phosphoinositide degeneration, and potassium channel mediation. CHRM1 plays a role in vagally-induced bronchoconstriction and gastric acid secretion. The CHRM1 gene is localized to chromosome 11q13.
