This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Human CD73/NT5E.

Target Information

CD73 (Ecto-5-prime-nucleotidase, 5-prime-ribonucleotide phosphohydrolase) catalyzes the conversion at neutral pH of purine 5-prime mononucleotides to nucleosides, with AMP as the preferred substrate. It consists of a dimer of two identical 70 kDa subunits bound externally to the plasma membrane by a glycosyl phosphatidyl inositol linkage.

CD73 serves as a marker of lymphocyte differentiation. Deficiency of CD73 occurs in various immunodeficiency diseases. Other forms of 5-prime nucleotidase exist in the cytoplasm and lysosomes and can be distinguished from CD73 by substrate affinities, magnesium ion requirements, ATP activation, and phosphate inhibition.

The CD73 gene is localized to 6q14–q21. Defects in this gene can cause calcification of joints and arteries, and intestinal tuberculosis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
