MIF2709 detects FSH with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 13 kDa.
This antibody was formerly sold under the Seradyn brand.
Target Information
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) belongs to the glycoprotein hormone family, sharing an identical alpha subunit and a hormone-specific beta subunit.
Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding the same protein.
FSH is secreted by gonadotropic cells in the pituitary gland and, together with luteinizing hormone, induces egg and sperm production.
