Malate Dehydrogenase is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process including delipidation, salt fractionation, and ion-exchange chromatography, followed by extensive dialysis.
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Sheep Serum, and purified Malate Dehydrogenase [Pig Heart].
Cross-reactivity with Malate Dehydrogenase from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.
Target Information
MDH1 is localized to the cytoplasm and plays a key role in the malate-aspartate shuttle that coordinates metabolism between cytosol and mitochondria.
