Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
GFI1 is a nuclear zinc finger (ZF) transcriptional repressor involved in hematopoiesis and inner ear development, and has been implicated in lymphomagenesis.
Gfi1 protein expression is regulated by the ubiquitin-proteasome system. Ubiquitin ligase Triad1 interacts with the DNA-binding domain of Gfi-1.
Gfi-1 represses transcription by directly binding to consensus DNA sequences in target gene promoters. Deficiency of Gfi-1 causes neutropenia and accumulation of granulomonocytic precursor cells, resembling myelodysplastic syndrome in mice.
