Product Specific Information

This 7-517 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD276 (B7-H3), a type I transmembrane protein expressed on immature and mature dendritic cells, but not on monocytes, granulocytes, or resting lymphocytes. CD276 is also found on non-hematopoietic cells such as osteoblasts, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells. Expression can be induced on dendritic cells, monocytes, T, B, and NK cells.

CD276 binds activated T cells, promoting proliferation and IFN-gamma production.

Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated on human monocyte-derived dendritic cells at 5 µL (0.125 µg)/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

CD276 (B7-H3) belongs to the B7 family of co-stimulatory molecules. It induces proliferation of CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells, enhances cytotoxic T cell generation, and selectively stimulates IFN-gamma production. Expression can be induced by inflammatory cytokines and is found in peripheral tissues such as heart, kidney, testis, and colon. In humans, CD276 exists as two isoforms due to gene duplication and alternative splicing. It has therapeutic potential in cancer immunoregulation, especially with anti-angiogenic therapy.
