Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

LATS2 is a serine/threonine protein kinase belonging to the LATS tumor suppressor family.
It interacts with a negative regulator of p53 and functions in a positive feedback loop with p53 that responds to cytoskeleton damage, leading to centrosome and mitotic apparatus regulation.
LATS2 is essential for maintaining mitotic fidelity and genomic integrity, playing a pivotal role in organ size control and tumor suppression by restricting proliferation and promoting apoptosis.
The pathway involves a kinase cascade where STK3/MST2 and STK4/MST1, in complex with SAV1, phosphorylate and activate LATS1/2, which then phosphorylate and inactivate YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ.
Phosphorylation of YAP1 by LATS2 inhibits its nuclear translocation, regulating genes involved in proliferation, apoptosis, and migration.
It also negatively regulates the G1/S transition by down-regulating cyclin E/CDK2 kinase activity.
