Product Specific Information

MA5-13144 targets Cytokeratin Low Molecular Weight in WB, IF, and IHC (P) applications, showing reactivity with Bovine, Chicken, Human, Mouse, Non-human primate, Rabbit, and Rat samples.
This antibody is not recommended for NIH-3T3 cells in immunofluorescent applications.
The immunogen used is human epidermal keratin.

Target Information

Cytokeratin pan is part of a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by biochemical diversity, represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Cytokeratins range in molecular weight between 40–68 kDa and have an isoelectric pH between 4.9–7.8.
Each human cytokeratin is numbered 1–20, and their expression patterns vary by epithelial type, maturation stage, and disease state.

Cytokeratin subtype expression is useful for:

  • Distinguishing epithelial malignancies
  • Differential diagnosis of tumors using immunohistochemistry
  • Cytopathology and flow cytometry assays

Keratins are valuable markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis.
