Target Information
The HSP70 family consists of four highly conserved proteins: HSP70, HSC70, GRP75, and GRP78. These proteins serve multiple roles in protein folding and translocation. GRP75 is localized to the mitochondrial matrix and assists in the folding of nascent polypeptides from both nuclear and mitochondrial origins. GRP75 and GRP78 are not heat-inducible but are upregulated under glucose deprivation.
