Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.
LGALS3BP levels are elevated in serum from cancer patients and individuals infected with HIV.
It is associated with immune responses involving NK and LAK cell cytotoxicity.
The full-length 90K cDNA is localized to chromosome 17q25.
The native protein binds specifically to a macrophage-associated lectin (Mac-2) and galectin-1.
