Vibrio cholerae는 사람에게 콜레라를 유발하는 그람음성, 쉼표 모양의 세균입니다. 감염은 주로 오염된 음식이나 물을 통해 전파되며, 심한 설사와 구토를 일으켜 탈수 및 전해질 손실로 인해 생명을 위협할 수 있습니다. 연간 500만 명 이상이 콜레라에 감염되는 것으로 보고됩니다.
