Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional round of desalting (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Slac2-a (synaptotagmin-like protein homolog lacking C2 domains-a) links Rab27A on melanosomes with Myosin VA in melanocytes.
It binds Myosin VA through a C-terminal region and GTP-bound Rab27A via its SHD domain near the N-terminus.
Stable formation of this complex is essential for pigment and cytotoxic granule transport in melanocytes.
Mutations in binding domains of these components may lead to albinism and/or immune disorders.
