Product Specific Information
This antibody is tested in direct ELISA.
For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed), incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein comprising about half of the blood serum protein. It functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and helps stabilize extracellular fluid volume.
Albumin is a globular, unglycosylated serum protein with a molecular weight of approximately 65,000. It is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin, which undergoes sequential cleavage to form proalbumin and then mature, secreted albumin.
