Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein comprising about one-half of the blood serum protein. It functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones, and plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume.
Albumin is a globular, unglycosylated serum protein with a molecular weight of approximately 65,000 Da. It is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin, which undergoes cleavage to form proalbumin and subsequently mature albumin in the Golgi vesicles.
