Target Information
Fibrinogen is a soluble protein found in blood plasma and produced by liver cells. It forms a hexamer composed of two sets of disulfide-linked chains and plays a crucial role in blood coagulation as the precursor of fibrin. Conversion to fibrin occurs via thrombin activity in the presence of calcium ions.
