Transcription termination factor that binds to a 28 bp region within the tRNA(Leu(uur)) gene adjacent to the 16S rRNA gene. This region includes a tridecamer sequence critical for accurate termination.
Binds DNA along the major groove, promoting DNA bending, partial unwinding, and base flipping.
Transcription termination activity is polarized with highest specificity for transcripts initiated on the light strand.
