Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사인자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 사이토카인 및 성장인자 자극에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동 후 전사 활성화 역할을 수행합니다. IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin 및 다양한 성장호르몬에 의해 활성화됩니다.
TEL/JAK2 융합 유전자에 의해 유도되는 STAT5 alpha 활성은 종양 형성과 관련이 있으며, BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하여 항아폽토시스 기능을 나타냅니다.
STAT5 alpha와 STAT5 beta는 96%의 서열 유사성을 가지며 대부분의 조직에서 함께 발현되지만, 근육과 유선 조직에서는 mRNA 축적이 다르게 나타납니다. STAT5 alpha는 생식, 수유, 면역 기능 및 성장 등 다양한 생리적 기능에 관여합니다.
