Product Specific Information
Clone M009 detects a 36 kDa protein corresponding to the molecular mass of Annexin A2 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of human A431, MDA-MB-231, MeWo, HUVEC, and PC3 cells.
The antibody is suitable for ELISA, immunocytochemical labeling, and immunoprecipitation applications.
Mass spectrometry analysis of immunoprecipitates using AM0091 in human A431 cell lysates confirms that this antibody specifically detects Annexin A2 protein.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the annexin family, a group of calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding proteins involved in cell growth regulation and signal transduction.
Annexin A2 functions as an autocrine factor enhancing osteoclast formation and bone resorption.
Three pseudogenes are located on chromosomes 4, 9, and 10. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
