Product Specific Information

The UCHT2 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD5, a 67 kDa protein expressed by most thymocytes and mature T cells, and a subset of B cells. Signaling through CD5 activates T cells and mediates T-B cell interactions via CD72 binding.

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass.

When using multiple Super Bright-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal effect on brightness.

Target Information

CD5 is a 67 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on mature T-lymphocytes, most thymocytes, and certain B-cell subsets. It functions as a receptor modulating T-cell proliferation and is associated with various lymphoid malignancies and thymus cancer.
