Target Information
The betaIII-tubulin isoform is dominantly present in cells of neuronal origin and serves as one of the earliest markers of neuronal differentiation. It is widely used as a specific probe for neuronal cells and tumors derived from these cells. Although most abundant in neuronal tissues, betaIII-tubulin has also been detected in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
